Whether you’re home for Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, or just looking for some ideas to spice up the holiday season: here are 31 things to do during the break!

Kicking it off early and going all the way to the end of December, we’ve lined up more activities than you can shake a candy cane at!

 

1. Comedy, music, and more at Studio 2! 


Where: Studio 2 in Bathurst
When: Three shows over the break

A weekly show – bilingue – showcasing stand-up comedians from all around the province! Comedian/host extraordinaire Nathan Dimitroff takes the stage with his posse of hilarious comedians for your entertainment!

December 13th – 8:00 pm (Stand-up)
December 20th – 8:00 pm (The Hightide Blues band + comedy)
December 27th – 8:00 pm (Bye-bye 2019)


2. Marc Melanson and the Bandits Live at Au Bootlegger!


Where: Au Bootlegger in Bathurst
When: December 14th – 9:00 pm

Marc Melanson and the Bandits will be rocking the Bootlegger live. Grab a pal or three and come on down to downtown Bathurst’s hot spot!

3. Marché Centre-Ville Studio 2’s Downtown Market


Where: Studio 2 – Bathurst
When: December 14th – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Visit Bathurst’s local & yearly-operated farmers’ market. You’ll find great gift ideas, delicious food and beautiful smiles around every corner!

4. Snowshoe walk


Where: Sentier Nepisiguit Mi’gmaq Trail
When: December 14th – 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

A very easy-going outing, from Middle Landing to the rope bridge and back. BYO snacks and drinks (we strongly recommend hot cocoa). Check out the event page for more details!

5. Go snowmobiling!


Where: On the Northern Odyssey
When: Anytime!

There’s no other way to put it: if you haven’t gone snowmobiling on the Chaleur region’s extensive trail system, you’re missing out.

*If you’re not yet convinced, we published a great article all about snowmobiling in the Chaleur region.

Reach out to one of the three snowmobile clubs – Chaleur Snowmobile Club, Supervillage Trailblazers, and Nepisiguit Sports Lodge – and ask them about their many activities and suppers. You’ll surely have a blast, make new friends and maybe even discover your new favourite winter hobby!


6. Escape Mission Evasion


Where: 30 Chemin Tremblay, Petit-Rocher Sud
When: Anytime! (Call ahead)

You’ll have between 45 and 60 minutes, locked in a room with your friends, to search for clues and solve puzzles.
